My Partner Of Greatness
![]() |
Appearance Vs. Reality |
Oh Macbeth, my partner in greatness. With the promise of the three sisters, I will soon become Queen of Scotland and Macbeth will once be my king. I shall accomplish this task with pure ambition. Oh, the time has come when my dreams shall take forth. My love, Macbeth, shall not wear his heart on his sleeves but must differentiate from what is within. I must not as well share my deepest thoughts with the world. “Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent underneath” (1.6ll65-66). Poor weak Macbeth shall embrace his dire ambitions and reject the doubt that haunts him. My duty must be of the convincing of Macbeth for second thoughts plague him. By this I will question his manhood and proclaim the love he has for me. “And, to be more than what you were, you would be so much more the man” (1.7ll50-51). If not for I, the deed was not to be done. My motivation has guided us for vaulting ambition to full fill. I have called on dark spirits to help not only I but Macbeth through this time. Macbeth has turned into a filthy tyrant in the eyes of his people. Was it not I, however, who planted the seed in his treacherous mind? I who is the light to his candle accomplished a deed that will forever stay with me. Deceiving Macbeth has committed the treason and for that he has placed himself much greater than a husband. Weak Macbeth has now become brave and noble Macbeth, in the eyes of my own. He now faces the throne of Scotland and a responsibility to his subjects. Macbeth the time has come. You must rest now as king. No instead you act on impulses that better suit a more devious man. You are no longer confiding in me, the crimes that see past reason or threatens my positions as Queen. Long past sanity; seeing daggers, where should not be sought has Macbeth left me in this world on my own?
"One day when you're big and strong, you will be a king."
Zira, the female lioness, has a desired ambition for her son to big king. This way she will take the rightful seat as Queen.
Macbeth -The Evil One

Macbeth is not only this vile demanding creature but also a naïve one. His mind is so simple to manipulate and play with, the perfect pawn in the game. All that needs to done in order for Macbeth to act upon chaotic impulse is insert a thought into his mind, no matter how small. The tiniest thought in the tyrants mind can evolve and grow into a huge scheme. When we first visited Macbeth, upon the Heath we set the thought into his mid of becoming King. This became his ambition, he would go against fate to achieve it. He murdered many people, became a tyrant and eventually evil. All because of one thought we put into his mind. All these consequences grew as we continued to feed his ambition with things he asked for. When Macbeth came to us the second time we showed him three apparitions telling the complete truth, that made him believe he could never be defeated. These also pushed him to make sure that these prophecies would become true and eliminate any one in the way of him and his ambitions.

The bloody tyrant's mask has been removed

A hell-kite ravaging the land much like Macbeth. |
The murder of Duncan was merely the calm before the storm. Macbeth was hungry: destruction and demise was eminent. I went to England to convince Malcolm to reclaim the throne. I acted too late.
Macbeth took off his mask when he performed his most vile of acts: he murdered my own family! He has no children; he will never know what its like to lose the dearest to our hearts, nor will he know what it's like to be responsible for their death. He cannot be trusted with his own life, let alone an entire country.
How I wish I could have protected them! I should have seen the signs: Duncan, and then Banquo; I was next. It's been coming for some time. Instead, I went to England in an attempt to help my country. With a dead Scotland, and no loved ones, the sun feels cold, and the rain is hard.
"Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm.
I know;
It's been coming for some time.
When it's over, so they say,
It'll rain a sunny day."
"Yesterday, and days before,
Sun is cold and rain is hard."
The only way to make right of my wrongs is to join forces with Malcolm and Siward, so that we may take siege over the his castle and put an end to his miserable life and path of destruction. The one who was most trusted is now the most hated. Beware, Macbeth, for your reckless actions will be matched with mine!
Regrets? I no longer have them.
Tyrannosaurus Rex was a true king of his time. Alone, he ruled his kingdom, and by a fateful occurence from the sky, he and his line died away, to make room for the new kings. |
They call me a tyrant. They think that I have lost my mind, and that they can conspire behind my back. But, no! They cannot! I am through playing games and all false hearts must be exposèd!
I have not been getting sleep for the past months on end. Every night I dream that my hands, soaked in the blood of Duncan and Banquo are on the edge of the guillotine. Not only that, but all of Scotland has come to see me get chopped into pieces and devoured by starving mongrels off the street. Every night they announce from behind me, “Here we will experience the beheading of Scotland ’s greatest oppressor! As Scotland has bled, so shall Macbeth! As Scotland has suffered, so shall he!” Every night I wake up just as the blade falls. And every night I find myself breathing hard, soaked in sweat, on the verge of crying out to the stars.
‘Tis a good thing that Banquo has been dispatch’d, or else he would have spread suspicion like a wildfire to all the Thanes. As for Macduff, fleeing and treason is a serious crime – his punishment was perfectly suited! This declaration came straight from the blackest pits of my heaven-deprived soul.
In fact, that is where most of my orders come from. Straight from my angry impulses. But what do I have to fear from my own violence? Certainly not consequences! Death may not touch me if it comes in the form of one of woman born, and a moving forest shall never overthrow my kingdom! My soul is the devil’s and my power is great. I have nothing to fear, and as for regrets? I have none.
“I’m a man with a one track mind,
So much to do in one lifetime
Not a man for compromise, and where’s and why’s and living lies
So I’m living it all …
Ain’t much I’m asking,
If you want the truth…
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all and I want it now,
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all and I want it now”
